Solar Cooking? yes, as weird as it may sound solar cooking is something more and more people are getting into. So what exactly is solar cooking. It really pretty simple actually. Solar cooking is using the sun to cook your food with a box that sometimes is incased and solar cells are used. others have come up with metal that reflects the sun's rays onto the food thus getting it real hot and cooking it. You may ask what is the advantage of solar cooking. well we know one think it has to be better for the environment. You will save money on not using electric or natural gas which people love the savings in their pockets. Solar cooking is excellent for cookouts or if your hiking and you need a quick meal.

Is it practical for the home though? Very good question and they are working towards that. Solar energy has been around for a very long time, but the way to use it hasn't been perfected just yet. Solar cooking is another take off on that and it has good promise and looks like it may catch on eventually. the biggest problem is nobody likes to change and that what you will have to do if you want to do solar cooking. The other things about solar cooking is it's a new way to do things and many people don't fully understand how it works or what good it is to them. That is where the real problem lies and must be fixed.

Solar cooking projects will be next up for the solar cooking arena. The question is what can you cook and what can you not cook. it's an interesting deal no matter how you look at it. Solar cooking has alot of growing pains to go through before people will actually use is as a viable option to make their meals with. Will it ever replace are use for gas or electric to cook our things. I seriously doubt it until they find a way to get the fire hot enough for long sustains amount of time.

Getting people to change will be tough after all these years, but you never know I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens with solar cooking before we can make a judgement on that.
